Meet Rebecca

Rebecca got in touch with me because she wanted to create her own bridal makeup. The key takeaway was to it keep it natural and soft. The ultimate goal was to subtly enhance the way she looked naturally so she could still recognise herself and not feel like she was wearing makeup.

During the lesson, I demonstrated one side of the face and asked her to replicate it on the other side. Rebecca very much wanted a natural-looking eye and to keep the skin as “skin-like” as possible. Rebecca did incredibly well considering she was not normally a makeup wearer!

After the lesson, she felt confident that she could recreate the look and was, of course, really happy with how it turned out.

Structure Of A Makeup Lesson

The lesson always begins with a discussion around your skincare. This is an important first step, as your makeup will only apply well and sit beautifully if you have been looking after your skin. It certainly affects how well your makeup lasts throughout the day and evening. If you are not sure where to begin, grab a copy of my Bridal Beauty Guide!

Discussing how you would normally wear your makeup is very important. You want to feel comfortable and like yourself so we want to build your routine around areas of makeup you already love. Having pictures for guidance is helpful to pinpoint what you like and do not like.

If you have an idea with how you envision your makeup on the wedding day, we can use this as the base work and build from there. If you are unsure with how you would like to look, I can guide you through what I feel would be beautiful for you. We will work with your complementary colours to enhance your look.

During our time together you will learn the best steps for the application, the most suitable brushes to use, and how to layer the makeup so it lasts the entire day. We can use your makeup products, or my kit, maybe a mix of both. You will receive plenty of products recommendations which will be emailed to you after the lesson with details of where you can make your purchases.

What You Will Learn:

  1. How to best prep your skin with the right skincare products.

  2. The best skincare products to choose, or add into your routine which will give results.

  3. The best way to apply makeup from start to finish for efficiency.

  4. Products that will create a long-lasting look so you do not need to worry about your makeup during the day.

  5. The most complementary colours for your complexion that will enhance your features.

  6. Techniques that will help with how to apply your makeup.

  7. The best makeup brushes to apply everything smoothly and well.

  8. How to touch up your makeup during the day so it still looks fresh.

  9. How to create your makeup look with ease and confidence.

  10. How to create a “skin-like” foundation that doesn’t look or feel heavy and cakey.

Meet Sara

Sara was having her wedding in Italy and was struggling to find someone local to do her makeup. After much thought, she decided she wanted to create her own makeup look but lacked confidence and product knowledge and was looking for guidance.

She chose me in particular as she was impressed by my gallery of brides, reviews, and style of makeup.

The lesson also included her bridesmaid Francesca, which was nice because it allowed them both to learn how to do their makeup together and share a special experience. Both Sara and Francesca wanted to create natural-looking makeup that felt comfortable yet enhanced their best features.

For Sara, we focused on enhancing the eyes and keeping everything else soft and subtle.

She kindly sent me the photos from her wedding day. I was blown away by how beautiful she looked, and I was very proud of how the makeup looked incredible.

Client Testimonials

My bridesmaid and I had a makeup lesson with Nicola as I am getting married abroad. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough, she really listens to what you want and the lesson felt totally personalised to our needs. Nicola is extremely knowledgeable and gave us so many great recommendations and tips.

She was patient and took her time to demonstrate which products to apply and how, without it feeling overwhelming. We both feel really confident now about doing our own make up for the wedding. It was also a really fun and relaxing experience.
— Sara
I would very much recommend Nicola. She was very informative and provided very in-depth advice. She took time explaining and practically demonstrating techniques as well as helping improve your own skills.
