Enquiry And Booking Process
Enquiries:
Booking inquiries can be sent via my contact form.
On receipt of your inquiry, Nicola Louise Makeup will confirm availability and provide a quotation. Quotes will be valid for 14 days.
Making your booking:
If you wish to proceed with a booking, an invoice/booking confirmation will be issued for the required non-refundable booking fee, which secures your wedding date.
A date for your bridal preview will be discussed and agreed upon during our correspondence.
Once the booking fee has been received, your date will be booked.
Please note that the booking is not secure until your booking fee has been received. We reserve the right to rebook or cancel your date if fees are not paid on time.
Bookings
1. Booking the wedding date:
The "Client" will be required to pay a non-refundable booking fee of £100.00 to officially secure their wedding date. This fee will also cover any administration charges involved throughout the inquiry process and up to the wedding day by the "Business Owner".
The booking fee will be deducted from the balance.
Until a £100.00 booking fee has been received from the "Client" the wedding date will not be held and will therefore be available for anyone to secure.
1.1 Booking the wedding within 6 weeks of the date:
In the event that the inquiry and booking have been made within 6 weeks of the wedding date, 100% of the full payment will be required at the time of the invoice being issued.
Cooling Off Period:
The "Client" will have a 14-day grace period to decide if they wish to proceed with the booking.
In the event that the "Client" does not wish to proceed, no further monies will be owed. The booking fee will be eligible for refund during the cooling off period.
Makeup Previews/Consultations
2. Makeup "Preview" for the Wedding:
A bridal preview will be scheduled 8–10 weeks before the wedding day and will be carried out at the chosen location provided by the "Client".
Payment of £140.00 plus travel fees will be required on the date of the preview or 24 hours prior.
Grace Period
After the bridal preview has taken place, the "Client" will have a 2-day grace period to decide if they wish to proceed with the booking.
In the event that the "Client" does not wish to proceed, no further monies will be owed, and no refunds will be provided for the cost of the preview and travel fees and the booking fee by the "Business Owner".
If a cancellation request is made 10 weeks or less prior to the wedding date, the cancellation policy below will apply.
2.1 Additional Bridal Makeup "Preview":
A second bridal preview can be scheduled at a cost of £140.00 plus travel fees from GU34 2AG.
2.2 Bridal Party Makeup "Previews":
Bridal party members are welcome to have a preview on the same date as the "Client". The cost will be £60.00 per person.
Nicola Louise Makeup will only be able to accommodate the bride plus two other members of the bridal party for the same preview date.
Payments
3. Payment Stages:
Reserving the Wedding Date: A £100.00 non-refundable booking fee will be due once the invoice has been issued to the "Client".
Bridal Preview Appointment: Payment of £140.00 plus travel fees will be due on the date arranged by the "Client".
Balance Payment: The remaining balance plus travel fees will be required 4 weeks before the wedding date by the "Client".
All payments are to be made electronically via the details provided on the invoice and email.
Final Payment:
If, after the preview, the "Client" is still happy to proceed with the booking, the remaining balance will be due four weeks before the wedding day
In the event that the final balance has not been received four weeks before the wedding day, late payment fees will apply.
Late Payment Fees:
If you still wish to proceed with your booking after the balance has not been received four weeks prior to the wedding, a late fee of £40.00 will be applied as per the Late Payment of Commercial Debts 1988 Act. A daily charge of £0.21 will be added per day in addition to the fee where payment has not been received.
Payment Issues:
If the "Client" is unable to make payment of the balance 4 weeks before the wedding date but still wishes to secure the services of Nicola Louise Makeup, please get in contact ASAP to discuss.
Amendments To The Booking
4. Additional Bridal Party Members
If you would like to add further bridal party members to the booking, this can be accommodated. The cost per additional person will be £80.00.
In the event that you have seven or more bridal party members in total, including yourself, a second makeup artist will be required to fulfil the services in a timely manner. A minimum booking may be required by the second makeup artist.
4.1 Number Reductions
Where the booking is reduced in number by the "Client" prior to the bridal preview, this will need to be advised in writing to the ”Business Owner” ASAP. It will be at the “Business Owners” discretion whether to continue with the booking.
Please note that Saturday weddings are subject to a minimum booking of the bride plus two, and Sunday weddings are subject to the bride plus three.
Number reductions after the bridal preview has taken place, or when the remaining balance has been paid, the full balance will still be required.
Additional Charges
5. Second Makeup Artist
For bridal parties of seven or more, or where the ceremony time will not allow Nicola Louise Makeup to carry out the required services in time, a second makeup artist will be required at a cost of £100.00. A minimum booking may be required by the second makeup artist.
The cost will cover the second artist’s travel fees and will allow them to keep the date reserved in their diary.
5.1 Post-Ceremony Touch-Ups And Full-Day Service
Where you have booked Nicola Louise Makeup for the Post-Ceremony Touch-Ups Service, this will commence after the specified finish time of the morning services.
Where you have booked Nicola Louise Makeup for the Full Day Service, this will commence from the specified finish time of the morning services.
The “Full Day Wedding Service” will be provided for 5 hours after the specified finish time and will include “post-ceremony touch-ups” for all bridal party members booked from the morning service. The bride will have the option to change her “look” prior to the wedding breakfast. Additional people cannot be added to this service.
5.2 Optional Extras
Luxury Bridal Skincare Package: £40.00
Strip Lashes: £10.00 per person
Included for the bride.
Post-Ceremony Touch-Ups: £150.00
For the bride and bridal party members who received makeup services in the morning.
Full-Day Service: £300.00
Post-ceremony touch-ups for the bride and bridal party members who received makeup services in the morning. And an optional change of look ahead of the wedding breakfast is included for the bride only.
5.3 Travel Expenses:
From GU34 2AG:
Up to 25 Miles: £22.00 Preview / £22.00 Wedding Day
Up to 35 Miles: £31.00 Preview / £31.00 Wedding Day
Up to 45 Miles: £40.00 Preview / £40.00 Wedding Day
Up to 55 Miles: £49.00 Preview / £49.00 Wedding Day
5.4 Accommodation:
For weddings taking place further than 120 miles, round trip, or more from GU34 2AG, an overnight stay beforehand will need to be provided by the "Client". Additional travel fees will be quoted in addition to the standard fees above.
5.5 Early Starts:
For any weddings that require a start time of 6 a.m. or earlier, a flat fee of £40.00 will apply.
5.6 Change of "On the Day" Location:
In the event that the "Client" requires the "Business Owner" to start makeup at one location and then move on to another during the application process, a change of location fee of £40.00 plus travel fees will apply. The fee will cover the time to pack up and unpack at the new location.
The change of location fee will also apply to room moves at the venue.
Changes To The Booking
6. Bridal Preview / Location:
If the "Client" needs to rearrange the preview date, please get in touch as soon as possible so a new available date can be scheduled.
A change of location for the preview and wedding day can be accommodated; however, additional travel charges may apply depending on the distance from GU34 2AG.
6.1 Number Changes:
For any changes to the number of bridal party members, please ensure this has been discussed and agreed upon before or on the preview date.
Where the booking is reduced to less than the requested number of people at the time of the inquiry, it will be at the “Business Owners” discretion whether to continue with the booking.
For number reductions that occur after the bridal preview has taken place or where the remaining balance has been paid, the full amount payable will still be required/retained.
If the "Client" wishes to add bridal party members to the booking, please let Nicola Louise Makeup know as soon as possible, as a second makeup artist may be required. It may not be possible to secure an additional artist if this has been amended too close to the wedding date.
Please note that Saturday weddings are subject to a minimum booking of the bride plus two, and Sunday weddings are subject to the bride plus three.
6.2 Postponement/Date Changes:
If the "Client" finds themselves in a position where they need to postpone the wedding date, the cancellation policy will apply unless the "Client" chooses to maintain the booking and Nicola Louise Makeup is available for the new date.
If the "Client" wishes to book Nicola Louise Makeup for their new date, a new £100.00 non-refundable booking fee will be required to secure the new date.
6.3 Postponement due to COVID-19:
Where Nicola Louise Makeup is available for the "Clients" new date, the non-refundable booking fee will be transferred to the new date where this has been booked within 12 months of the original date.
In the event that Nicola Louise Makeup is not available for the new arranged date due to COVID-19, the £100.00 booking fee will be non-refundable.
Where a preview has already taken place, the amount paid will not be refundable.
Cancellations
7. Cancellations by You:
Should the "Client" wish to cancel the booking completely before it is confirmed, no charges are applicable.
If, however, the "Client" cancels after the booking is confirmed, the £100.00 booking fee will not be eligible for a refund by the "Business Owner".
If, after the bridal preview, a cancellation is requested, the booking fee plus the cost of the preview and travel will not be eligible for a refund by the "Business Owner".
For cancellation requests made 10–4 weeks before the wedding date, the below cancellation terms will apply to the balance.
For any number reductions after the bridal preview has taken place and the balance has been paid, no refunds will be provided if bridal party members have changed their minds.
Cancellation Terms:
Cancellation 8 to 5 weeks before the wedding means 50% of the final balance is lost.
Cancellation 4 weeks or less before the wedding date means total loss of all money.
Payment of cancellation charges will be required within three days of notification.
Notification of Cancellation:
Should the "Client" wish to cancel the booking at any stage, written notice must be given to hello@nicolalouisemakeup.co.uk. The request will take effect from the date of receipt of the written cancellation.
You will receive written confirmation of the cancellation and any charges that may be required.
Cooling Off Period:
The "Client" will have a 14-day grace period to decide if they wish to proceed with the booking.
In the event that the "Client" does not wish to proceed, no further monies will be owed. The booking fee will be eligible for refund during the cooling off
Postponement/Date Changes:
If the "Client" finds themselves in a position where they need to postpone the wedding date, the above cancellation policy will apply.
If the "Client" wishes to book Nicola Louise Makeup for their new date, a £100.00 non-refundable booking fee will be required to secure the new date.
Postponement due to COVID-19:
In the event that Nicola Louise Makeup is not available for the new arranged date due to COVID-19, the £100.00 booking fee will be non-refundable.
7.1 Cancellations By The "Business Owner"
Booking Fee:
A cancellation of services will be processed if the booking fee has not been received within 3 working days of the invoice date.
It will be assumed that wedding day services are no longer required.
Final Balance:
If, after the bridal preview, the balance of the wedding has not been received four weeks before the wedding, Nicola Louise Makeup will be in touch to discuss with the "Client" to see if the services are still required.
Unforeseen Circumstances:
In the event of extreme weather conditions, where the ‘Met office’ issues a ‘Red’ warning, there may be no choice but to cancel the booking for safety reasons.
If this does occur, the "Client" will receive a refund of the balance.
In the rare case of a severe illness preventing Nicola Louise Makeup from attending the wedding, Nicola Louise Makeup will do her utmost to source an alternative makeup artist to take her place. Where a replacement cannot be found, the "Client" will be refunded the balance plus the booking fee.
By paying the booking fee you are agreeing to and accepting all the Terms and Conditions set out above.
