Liquid And Cream Blush May Be A Better Pick For Anyone Who Shy’s Away From Wearing Any At All

Does a blusher feature in your current makeup routine? If so, are you wearing powder, cream of liquid?

Or maybe you feel too shy to wear blusher, or you just do not know why you would need one?

You will be pleasantly surprised what a difference adding a blush to your routine can do.

When meeting with new clients for a makeup lesson I do like to introduce blusher into their routine, especially if this is something not already being used. If blush is already part of the routine, assessing the colour and if the right formula being for your skin type is the next step to take.

Blush is not as intimidating as you may think when you get the right colour and most suitable type.

Liquid and cream blush I find is far more suited for dry skins, and skin that is more on the mature side. When your skin is already lacking in moisture, or beginning to dry out through ageing, you want to think about how you can add in that dewy and hydrated look to give your skin life.

There are many benefits to wearing blush;

  • Adding a healthy glow: Blush can make your skin look more radiant and youthful.

  • Balancing skin tone: Blush can help balance out uneven skin tones.

  • Brightening: Blush can brighten up your face.

  • Boosting confidence: Blush can make you feel more put-together and boost your self-esteem.

  • Enhances complexion: Blush can help enhance the complexion by adding warmth and radiance to the skin.

If you are not sure on colours that would be suit you, as a guide, fair/light skin tones want to select soft pinks, light coral and peachy tones. Medium skin tones best suit richer pinks, warm mauve tones and deep peaches. Darker skin tones are more suited to deep fuchsia, warm brown and tangerine shades.

Here are my top picks for liquid and cream blushers to add to your makeup bag.

Using blush is a great way to add a little bit of life and freshness back into the skin. It enhances your features and can be quite a youthful trick. My recommendation is to pair a similar lipstick tone to pull your makeup together which will give a more polished effect.

The best way I find to apply a liquid or cream blush is with your finger and then patting it into the skin with another clean finger. You can also use a brush instead, or after applying with the finger to blend in. Using a damp sponge is also a good option if you want a more sheer wash of colour.
